AOPA Article – King Schools celebrates 50 years with discounts – 10 percent off private pilot courses through 2024

King Schools is offering 10 percent off private pilot courses and bundles for the remainder of 2024 in celebration of the training provider’s fiftieth anniversary.

With the discounts, the Private Pilot Interactive Video Ground School and Test Prep course is $269; the Private Pilot Practical Test (Checkride) Prep course costs $125; the Private Written, Maneuvers and Checkride Prep Combo is $439; and the Private Pilot Get It All Kit is $649. The discount may be stacked with other offers.

King Schools CEO and co-owner Barry Knuttila estimates the company provides courses equal to half the number of private pilot knowledge tests taken.

King Schools is also offering two scholarships for flight instructors: the Women in Aviation International Martha King Scholarship for Female Flight Instructors and the National Association of Flight Instructors/King Schools Scholarship for Flight Instructors. Both comprise lifetime access to the entire King Schools library, valued at more than $15,000, plus $5,000. The application window for the WAI scholarship opens August 1, and applications are now being accepted for the NAFI scholarship.

The company also announced the relaunch of an updated Cessna Sport/Private Pilot course with 138 new instructional videos and improvements to the course content.
